2000 CHF from UZH for dissertation editing 

The University of Zurich (UZH) reimburses up to 2000 CHF for copy editing or translation costs for dissertation monographs and dissertation articles. All doctoral students at the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences who are non-native English speakers are eligible.*
 
UZH will reimburse costs only after editing/translation is completed. An application must be submitted to the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences to get the reimbursement, along with a letter signed by the dissertation supervisor. Please read the UZH guidelines carefully to make sure you qualify.

​15,000 CHF from SNSF for book editing and translation 

The Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) offers up to 15,000 CHF for quality control and production for open-access, peer-reviewed academic books. This includes professional editing and translation of dissertations, habilitations, anthologies, or monographs accepted by a publisher.

Funding can only be applied for after the edited manuscript has gone through peer review and a publisher is secured.* Please read the guidelines for the SNSF Book Processing Charge carefully. See more here.
